Protein shakes are just supplemental - for protein. Protein is important, don't get me wrong, but it's not needed for "fat loss." Now, the hype going around utilizing protein shakes to help lose weight is just absurd. Essentially, what they're trying to tell you is to consume protein shakes and nothing but that. Now, that's heading in the wrong path when it comes to being properly nourished, so I wouldn't do this. It can be unhealthy and can lead to rapid weight loss - becoming malnourished.


Replacing meals with a protein shake is not ideal - here's why.

Meals usually consist of organic whole foods. Protein shakes are processed and contain additives and whatnot. Therefore, it's Healthier to consume organic whole foods compared to protein shakes/supplements.


Whole Foods and/or Organic Whole foods contain better and a variety of nutrients compared to a protein shake. Some protein shakes only contain protein, whereas some expensive protein supplements may contain more essential and vital nutrients.



Here's why people prefer Protein shakes over Meals

Whole foods and meals contain more calories than a protein shake, thus is why people promote protein shakes to REPLACE meals to avoid the overeating aspect. Now, here's the solution.

Portion Control. Don't excessively eat - nor consume one type of a thing. Have a variety of options of foods within your diet to get all of the essential and vital nutrients our bodies need. But do not overeat. Also, by controlling your portions and striving for healthy foods, it'll be difficult to overeat on that type of diet.

When is it Ideal to use protein shakes


Now, you could replace a meal or a snack with a protein shake, but don't make it a habit nor go about it in an excessive way. You should replace a meal when it's necessary. Such as you're working, or going out and using a protein shake is convenient in that aspect, or if there's nothing else available, then it could be used as a meal. But, it doesn't contain as much as calories as eating a meal, so you may lose weight faster than needing to.

Typically, protein shakes are consumed prior to or after a workout. To aid in recovery - to get in protein fast and easy. You can use protein shakes before or after a workout if necessary but be aware of how many calories you've consumed before you do so. 


Protein Shakes May Actually Increase Weight Gain

Since you may not be aware of how many calories you're consuming throughout the day, and if you are going to consume protein shakes on top of meals, you are adding more calories to your diet at the end of the day.

If you're just replacing your meals with a protein shake, then you don't have to worry about adding extra calories.

However, if you're consuming meals and if you want a protein shake, just remember what you've had beforehand and decide whether if it's beneficial to consume more calories or not.


Losing Fat FAST is not Healthy

Losing weight rapidly is not good. Trying to force your body to lose fat fast is really unhealthy for your whole body and brain. It impacts you severely. Making you malnourished, weak, and vulnerable. You can ge sick easily and you can shock the body. Headaches, fatigue, impacting hormones and performance, and so forth.


Protein shakes should not be consumed for every meal - throughout the day to replace Meals in order to promote weight loss.



Replacing Meals and Using a Liquid Diet Doesn't Promote Fat Loss and Doesn't Teach You Anything

When it comes to losing weight - it is your actions that dictate your weight gain/loss. In order to gain weight in the first place, you've must be eating a lot. So, therefore, you need to do the opposite. Eat less. Reduce your food intake and change your eating habits.

Eating habits are one of those things people neglect. If you're constantly eating poorly, then expect a poorly functioning body and physique. If you want to become healthy and look good, you must strive for healthy foods. Eat your vegetables and fruits and avoid processed and junk foods. 

By treating your body right and properly, you'll look amazing and sexy. 

So, when or if you do replace your meals - what do you learn? Nothing because once you stop that liquid diet you will rebound.

And then you're back at square one. How to lose weight again.

So instead, focus on changing your eating habits, strive for healthy foods, and reduce your food intake and exercise to promote fat loss.



Food should not be Eliminated

Whole foods should not be avoided and/or eliminated. It contains more nutrients, essential and vital nutrients compared to protein shakes. We, humans, need a variety of nutrients in order to become Properly nourished. You cannot just focus on protein intake, you need vegetables, fruits, and other sources of vitamins and minerals.

Vitamins and minerals are what help the body to become healthy and to fight off any toxins or whatnot.

Without proper nourishment, you won't thrive - healthily.

I see too many people rely on protein shakes to replace their meals to promote weight loss.

Once you do this, you give up on yourself when it comes to learning how to properly lose weight.


Losing weight properly requires eating less, eating healthier and staying consistent, and/or exercising along with that to assist in weight loss.


Don't get me wrong, protein shakes have their place and time. Place and Time. Not to replace every meal.
