What The Elderly Should Be Doing To Stay Strong and Healthy!

So, when we get old, our bodies become fragile. It is important to nourish our bodies with healthy and proper nutrients in order to become healthy and strong. See, when you consume healthy foods, it promotes durability - strong bones, strong muscles, and strength. When you consume junk food, on the other hand, it impacts your body in a negative way. Also, not eating as much will impact your body's health. Vegetables, fruits, and healthy sources of fats, proteins, and carbs are a requirement for all people.

Elderly people are prone to injuries because they become brittle and vulnerable to things - so you must eat the foods that will promote strength in that aspect. High protein intake, moderate fats, and moderate carbs are ideal to go about. Plenty of veggies for vital and healing nutrients. Do not skip them! It's important especially for the old to keep your body healthy as possible to prevent and avoid issues. Secondly, protein is needed. A lot of elderly won't eat a lot, or they simply eat like a mouse. That is no good. You must consume healthy sources of proteins and carbs and fats. Foods like Salmon, fish, meat, chicken, nuts, seeds, berries, oats, etc. They're all healthy sources of nutrients. Just avoid the sugary foods and beverages. Skip the desserts and consume healthy meals.

Meals are important. Don't just nibble on food. Have actual proportional meals. Including Protein, Carbs, and Fats within your meals. This will ensure that you're receiving all of your vital nutrients to become properly nourished. Fats can come from nuts and seeds and FISH and Meats. Fish are healthy - just depends on what you get. Selection is key. Choose the high lean meat fish. And the fish that are healthy for us. Some fish are cheap and no good for us. Salmon is a good example of a healthy fatty and protein fish. Some fish contains a high level of mercury such as grouper and Bluefin Tuna.

IN addition to becoming strong and healthy - exercise is a must for the elderly. I cannot stress enough how important exercise is. It heals the body. It promotes growth. It stimulates the mind, therefore, it promotes healing for the mind. It releases hormones that protect the brain. Nerve growth factors begin to develop which helps the brain from becoming fragile and weak, thus giving you better clarity and attention. Along with that, you can promote durability and strength for your body, your bones, and your muscles. When you neglect exercise, you become fragile, especially if you don't move at all. If you sit down all day on the couch, for example, your body will begin to break down, becoming fragile and vulnerable. Now, you're on a downhill from there. That is how most elderly people become Ill and weak.

It's important to focus and prioritize nutrition intake and exercise to avoid such issues. Sure, you can get away with it at an early age, such as in your 20's, but as you continue to get older, you will feel the consequences of aging.

Supplements can be also used in your life to help with your health. Protein supplements, Greens supplements, and vitamin supplements are all ideal to take to aid in healing and promoting strength and well-being. There are many products on the market for mental health, muscle health, gut health, and much more. Find what works for you and determine if it's going to benefit you.

Me personally, I would take these to become healthy and to stay strong. You need protein and greens supplements. Many of us do not eat enough veggies, so taking a green supplement is beneficial. HOWEVER, it's important to consume whole foods, rather than depending on supplements because whole foods (non-supplemental products/foods) contain all of the vital and essential vitamins.

Stimulating the mind is also important to stay strong and healthy. Too many of us indulge in tv - which is really bad for our mind. We become brain-washed in a way, making us like zombies. We tend to the tv for hours on end till bedtime. That is no good. Life is too big for all of that. You must go outside and experience life. You need to become active and have conversations. That is how most mental illnesses come about. Not stimulating your mind enough. I know how difficult it can be trying to stay active at an old age, but don't be lazy and just do it. Learning, reading, going for a walk, walking your pets, having a pet, and enjoying time with your partner is all examples of what you can do to stay healthy and strong for your mind. Don't be like a zombie and let your body rot. Do something with it.
