In this day in age, many people are manipulating their own audience to gain fame and money. Many people claim that they're natural and that if I CAN DO IT, SO Can YOU! LOL. So BUY MY EBOOK OR CUSTOM TRAINING PLAN...
Sure, advertising and selling programs are okay but don't be deceptive about it. If you claim natural but aren't really natural, then you're manipulating your people. They do this because, for one, it is easy to gain attraction by saying you're natural and that you've overcome some obstacle. Such as losing weight. This "category/topic" is very popular amongst most fitness influencers; selling programs and ebooks about fat loss. But in reality, these fitness influencers are fake, they take steroids, sarms, and other performance enhancers to ENHANCE their physique. If you have to take PEDS to enhance your physique, you ultimately had a shortcut to that achievement, therefore, it's not a natural way of achieving that.
Natural is hard, and no one wants to admit that. It's harder to sell programs and ebooks if you say "yeah losing fat is hard, you must have a strong-willed mind to endure this type of a journey," but instead they say, "I lost 10LBS in 1 week, here's how FAST AND EASY." That's manipulative. Especially if these people are super ripped and muscular -- most likely they're on steroids to develop and to be able to maintain such physique. Guys who are hella ripped, six-pack and who have lots of muscles is a big red flag. You cannot be super shredded and have a ton of strength and muscle and to be natural. No, it cannot and does not work like that. AND THAT's how these scams work.
When you see something you like, you'll do anything to be like that. So, you'll worship your idols and purchase their ebooks and programs expecting to look like them. You won't and can't. Everyone is different, even if you do follow their exact protocol, you won't look like them and this is the sad thing. When these influencers promote their business to sell whatever they're scamming their audience because it is easy for them considering you are gullible and have no idea they're on enhancements.
So the Question IS: Why Do these influencers Lie and Manipulate their audience?
The answer is simple. Steroids/Sarms/Enhancements are Illegal! And hard to use!
When people use steroids, they feel like other people are judging them in the wrong manner. In this fashion. "Oh you use steroids, that's a shortcut."
"Steroids is a cheat cheat to gain muscle"
"Only way you have that physique is because of those enhancements"
Who wants to hear that? Especially if you idolize someone. No one. So by claiming natural and trying to sell programs or ebooks, it'll be much easier to please and to appeal to that type of audience because this audience is much bigger.
No one wants to listen to a steroid users because they're "cheaters." So, if you say, "I was once small and skinny, but now I'm ripped and strong Naturally" you would believe it more. You would fall into this trap and consider purchasing their programs/ebooks...
Okay, but lets say you may be interested or don't care about enhancements, steroids, but why do these influencers still lie?
Well, steroids aren't common sense nor easy to use. It's very very dangerous and risky. You can end your life if you aren't careful when using peds. So many people develop health issues due to steroid use. AND many of these influencers don't tell about their cycles, nor experience, so, therefore, we do not know what's happening behind closed doors. Is she/he having issues? Complications? Mental health issues? etc?
In addition to manipulating their audience, companies/sponsors/businesses like to play legit. If you have a business or are into one, you want to stay out of trouble as much as possible. Saying you're a steroid user may repel any users because Like I've said, many people won't take advice from a fake-natural, so by claiming you aren't a steroid user or if you don't say you use it, you can easily manipulate someone.
Furthermore, disregarding the enhancements, people also photoshop their pictures to look better, more muscular, masculine, and ripped. When you do this, you're also being deceptive, manipulative, and dishonest with your audience.
The picture above is photoshopped. The left side is natural and the right side is edited. Look how dramatic the change was! He edited his picture to look more shredded, more ripped, with more abs, and to look more muscular. But in reality, he's manipulating his viewers by looking ripped.
So, if you follow and idolize this guy for example and if he claims natural, you're being scammed. This is huge in this fitness industry. Many many edits, photoshop and light manipulation is the key when ti comes to scamming people. Don't fall into these traps!
