Gamers Who Play 24/7 Will Have Health Complications

 Obsessive Gaming Deteriorates Health

No doubt, gaming 24/7 will cause health issues. Today, you'll learn why.

Being sedentary most of your time, on a daily basis will result in health deterioration. The human body needs care; becoming active, eating properly, going outside, receiving the sun rays, and staying consistent with this to remain healthy.

Further research shows that gaming disorders can also be linked with anxiety, depression, obesity, sleeping disorders, and stress. People who remain physically inactive for long periods because of gaming may also be at higher risk of obesity, sleep disorders, and other health-related issues, according to WHO

Vision problems are common complaints of gamers. The most common vision problem is eye strain, which can lead to headaches and poor concentration.

However, most gamers do not participate outside of their gaming world. They're literally stuck on a chair, playing video games, not receiving any sun rays, and completely ignoring nutrition and exercise for the human body's health. The outcome won't look good, as you won't notice until it's late into the harmful effects of staying sedentary.

Various studies show that playing too much computer games causes physical damages and increases anxiety and depression in players. Many studies show that most adolescents who are addicted to computer games have high heart beat and blood pressure due to too much excitement and stress.

There will be lots of health complications. For one, you may become malnourished. Secondly, you may lose muscle and bone strength and mass - leading the body to become vulnerable - exposed to illnesses, diseases, and fractures. The immune system will be impacted, along with mental state & clarity. BUT! There are studies that have shown to improve individual brain health. That - you conclude on your own...

“Consequences of video game addiction can showcase in a number of ways, including wrist, neck and elbow pain, skin blisters, calluses and sleep disorders. Long-term addiction could lead to obesity, weakness or numbness in the hands (peripheral neuropathy) and even blood clots,”

There is mixed research that there are some cognitive benefits to gaming, such as better control of one’s attention and improved spatial reasoning, though it isn’t entirely clear how much these benefits extend outside of the video game sphere into the real world. Finally, video games have medical applications, such as training people with degenerative diseases to improve their balance, helping adolescents with ADHD improve their thinking skills, or training surgeons on how to do technically complicated operations.

The outside world provides much more than Vitamin D from the sunshine; The human body is connected to earth - mother nature. The body loves nature, trees, fresh air, traveling, etc, etc. If you're completely sedentary, not active, and never go out - you may develop mental issues like depression, anxiety, or even social anxiety.

Since most gamers are sedentary and neglect nutrition and exercise - most of them are obese

Sedentary people whom aren't active are prone to becoming obese. Since the person is gaming 24/7, and not properly nourishing the body - the body is accumulating toxic calories, nutrients, chemicals, and other things - which leads to becoming obese, developing diabetes, heart complications, and so on...The list is huge.

According to a study in the Journal of Clinical Nutrition, "a single session of video game play in healthy male adolescents is associated with an increased food intake, regardless of appetite sensations."

At least 30~ minutes of exercise is needed

All you really need to do to stay healthy is to exercise for about ~30 minutes to an hour a day. Do this for about 3/4x a week - on a weekly basis - along with eating right and healthily, the human body will thank you and stay strong and healthy.

Any type of exercise/workout will do the job. Weightlifting, cardio, jogging, running, cycling, swimming, etc. The key is - becoming active.

Without exercise, your body will begin to decrease in mass, strength, and power. Leaving you vulnerable to all kinds of health issues such as muscle loss, bone density is decreased, immune and mental issues, and so on.

People may end up obese or anorexic due to a sedentary lifestyle.

Simple education around taking breaks, stretching, eating healthy snacks, and resting and icing your thumb, wrist, or elbow when it starts hurting can address injuries early, before they become significant. For the eyes, gamers can try the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, try to look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds.

playing video games activates the reward centers, which leads to increased food intake.
