Starving Yourself to lose weight

1) Catabolism - Loss of Muscle/break down of muscle and fat tissue. Health going downwards. Deficient in vitamins, minerals, and calories. Must prioritize on food and nutrients to remain healthy
2) Unrealistic Approach - Not sustainable, unhealthy, risk, Dangerous, Health complications, perhaps DEATH!


There's a huge problem and that is, starving yourself to promote weight loss.

 This is an extreme diet, which involves no consumption of foods/drinks or calories overall. Thus will give you the results you want, however, is it safe and beneficial? What does not eating do to your body? Do you need food in order to live healthily?

Well, when you do not eat any foods or consume any calories, you're starving; When you're starving, your body will find ways to make sure that your body is functioning properly. As a consequence, it'll retrieve nutrients from your fat source and then your muscle source. Firstly, you'll begin to shred off fat due to starvation. Once you've lost all of your fat mass, your body will look for another source of nutrition to help keep you alive which is your muscle mass. Now, you're losing muscle which is unhealthier for you. At this stage, you're beginning to become deathly sick.

When your body doesn't receive any nutrients, it'll start breaking down, as mentioned above. This is known as "catabolism." This is a situation of vitamin and mineral deficiencies. Your body doesn't have an adequate amount of vitamins, minerals, and calories in order to sustain a healthy operating body therefore, you'll begin to lose strength, size, and start deteriorating. As time progresses, you're closer to death.

This is an unhealthy manner to approach for many reasons. For one, it's unrealistic, for two, it's not safe, and for three, it won't teach you anything. For those who are wanting to lose a lot of fat, stay committed, and be patient. Patience and time will give you the results. In order to lose weight healthily, you have to go slow with the process and learn from your mistakes and make adjustments when necessary. A calorie deficit is needed, but not too extreme such as starvation, a little taper to your calorie consumption is all you need, along with daily exercise and proper diet and nutrition in place. Starvation is for those who are extremely lazy and have no point in making their lives nor body healthy. There's no point in starving yourself to promote weight loss. You'll end up looking sick, ill, and like a zombie. This is not the right way to ever to promote weight loss. You're wanting a high functional performing body. So, eat healthily, reduce your calorie consumption and exercise.
