Lose Weight During & After The Holidays

Gaining weight over the holidays is to be expected. However, if you don't want to gain weight, and want to lose weight during or after the holidays, continue reading on.

The holidays bring joy and food. Family time, eating, drinking, and enjoying each other company. From this, people are unaware or don't realize how much food they're going to consume.

Here Are My Top Tips for Losing Weight During the Holidays

1) Do not Over Eat on Desserts

The holidays are fulfilled with good foods and of course sweet desserts. Cakes, pies, cookies, etc are typical for us humans during the holidays. However, if you're serious about managing weight or losing weight after the holidays, control your habits when it comes to desserts.

Desserts are loaded with sugar, sugar, and more sugar. Most desserts are a carb source so that itself will affect your weight. So, limit your dessert intake if you're trying to manage/lose weight. Or simply skip it overall. Or have healthier alt. such as fruits.

2) Don't Indulge in One Food Group

Protein, fats, and carbs are the food groups we have.

Do not excessively consume carbs or fats, as those are easy to overconsume on.

Most junk foods are carb-related, and those typically are loaded with sugar; So refrain from overeating on Carb-food sources, such as Potatoes, fries/chips, etc.

Protein is easily digestible, and it's hard[er] to get fat from protein as opposed to eating on carbs/fat food sources.

Carbs itself impact/affect insulin & metabolism. So for those who have metabolic issues or if you're overweight, limit your carb intake, and be mindful & wise about how much you consume.

3) Drink lots of Water

Water is good. It hydrates us. It flushes anything from within your body, getting rid of waste and toxins. Water also helps with improving metabolism, therefore, making weight loss easier.

If you're drinking sugary drinks, try to limit/control that as much as possible. Just because it is the holidays doesn't mean you should completely neglect your health.

Limit your alcohol intake, don't binge/indulge, drink water, limit your chaser intake - and drink water once done drinking alcohol.

4) Fast During the Holiday

You can FAST during the holidays. During Christmas, or through the week til next year(the new year). Fasting is when you skip meals. So when you skip meals, you skip calories. When this happens, you cannot gain weight.

You can fast any time of the day, any day.

If you ate a big meal or overate on one day, you can fast afterward, until the next day, therefore, resetting your body.

If you're trying to control your calorie intake, fasting will help. You can save your calories for the big meals, just another example of how to Utilize Fasting.

5) Do not OVER STUFF YOURSELF

Stuffing yourself is what we all do from time to time. Especially during holidays and special occasions. However, stuffing yourself til you're completely full is not ideal.

When you stuff yourself to the fullest, you're essentially consuming so much food, all of those calories may result in weight gain.

It's not ideal to consume that much food. Your body cannot use all of those calories in a good manner, so it may end up accumulating fat gain.

You should space out your meals, or control your food portion. Don't have too much food within one sitting. Eat til you're content, not stuffed.

6) Couple of Minutes of Exercise

Exercising burns calories which result in weight loss over time. If you were to exercise; Jog, walk, or weightlifting, for example, you can utilize the calories in a good manner. Even if you work out during the day, the results of the exercise session will have an effect throughout the day. So even after dinner, your body will utilize those calories, it won't accumulate into fat gain if you don't overeat, etc.

But, in general, exercising can help manage weight.

If you've eaten a lot or eaten a lot of junk food, exercising will help subside those unwanted weight gain.

15 minutes is all you need. You don't have to work out necessarily for 30mins+. 15 minutes of walking/cardio/jogging, or weightlifting can do wonders.

7) Use a Fat Burner

Fat burners work. They won't magically make a person drop 5 lbs within a day or so, but using a fat burner can help burn extra calories throughout the day without any hard work.

If you're serious about not gaining weight or managing weight or losing weight after or during the holidays, utilizing fat burners is the way to go.

Using fat burners while exercising is the best way to utilize fat burners. You'll burn additional calories during your workout session with the fat burners, therefore, during the workout session, you'll burn a ton of calories resulting in fat loss.

8) Use Digestive Enzymes

When eating on Carbs, may lead to weight gain. Do we want unwanted weight gain? No.

This is where Digestive Enzymes come into play.

Digestive Enzymes help break down food, converting it into energy & waste.

Because when you do overeat on carbs, fats, or proteins, your body has a hard time digesting the food, breaking it down, and converting it into energy. So it may result in fat gain from the excess amount of calories.

So when you use digestive enzymes, it'll subside any unwanted accumulation of fat gain from the foods you've consumed, into energy & waste.

This is very effective to go about since you are helping, assisting your gut to help break down the calories into waste & energy!
