As we age, it's no doubt that we will begin to lose our strength, power, and overall mass. That is because your body isn't capable of withstanding or producing such things anymore. It's not capable because the cells we have within end up dying...However, there are ways to avoid and promote stronger cells.
People who exercise stimulate cells, and this helps strengthens the bones and muscles. Also helps with recovery when you cause damage such as bodybuilding or doing extreme sports...
People whom are inactive, and sedentary, and those who aren't active or participate in workouts or exercises are most likely weaker and much more delicate than those who regularly exercise. The cells have no type of stimulation, therefore, it somewhat ends up disappearing or dying away since it's not being utilized...People can develop sarcopenia - Sarcopenia has been defined as an age-related, involuntary loss of skeletal muscle mass and strength. Or atrophy of the muscle strength and mass of the bones and muscle. Which is important for us.
In addition, your diet and nutritional lifestyle can and will impact your health. If you're deficient in vitamin D for example, you're prone to injuries because vitamin D is important for bone strength. People also neglect the sun, which provides nutrients such as Vitamin D. Exercising and having a healthy lifestyle will promote a better durable body.
The human body needs muscles. It does more than just protect our bones and joints. It's crucial for the human body to stay active throughout life, and if not, you will experience degradation. Loss of everything. And this leads to many many complications.
To Prevent Muscle and Bone Loss in Strength, Power, and Mass
You need to exercise. Exercising will cause damage to the bones and muscles. From there, the nutrition/food aspect will help with the recovery. As you sleep, the body repairs itself, building new tissue, and restoring its health. From this, you're stimulating and creating newer cells, which is important to remain healthy.
As an inactive user, you aren't stimulating nor creating new cells, and as a result, you're somewhat backup, stagnated with toxins, causing further health complications.
Elderly, and those who are sedentary are vulernable to injuries, fractures, and immune, mental - overall health issues.
Working out, lifting weights, doing cardio, and becoming active is all you need. You can swim, cycle, do home cardio on a machine, or whatever you find fun and enjoyable - do so. Without it, you'll begin to crumble and deteriorate.
