Build Strength and Muscle Using Static Training Technique!

Why I love Static Hold Workouts

Static holds can help build up muscle and strength, and even to help break plateaus if you're experiencing one. When performing static holds, you're causing so much [more] harm to the muscles that it has no choice but to grow afterward. Bodybuilding, or building muscle, requires progressive overload, meaning you must train harder in order to promote more muscle [building]. Many people encounter a "wall" when trying to build muscle, thus it is known as a plateau. However, with this exercise technique, you can break this wall and continue to build muscle and strength.

As for myself, I have a condition known as brittle bones, which makes my bones weak. So in order for myself to get stronger, I have to find ways to do so. Yes, lifting weights will do the job, but as I mention, if you're wanting to break a plateau, you must train harder. So I discovered this technique. It's not that demanding on your bones or muscles because you have the option to let go at any time. You don't need a heavyweight to start this method; all you need is the willpower to begin training.

To start static hold training, all you need is a heavy object such as weights. All you need to do is: Hold the weight/object in a flexed position. For example, when training biceps, you stretch and contract the biceps to perform the exercise; But with static holds, you aren't going through the full movement/phases, you're only holding the stand-still position when halfway thru the rep. Your arm is at a 90-degree angle. You're not fully relaxed but in a serious contraction state. When you're flexing/contracting your biceps (or any muscle) you're causing blood to rush to the area and you're causing micro-tears to the muscle. As a result, your muscles will begin to grow once the recovery process started. Another example is the shoulders. When doing lateral raises you want to perform the rep, but halfway through the rep, you're wanting to keep the position stagnated, don't continue with the full rep nor relax the arm. Hold this position until your muscle gives up.

This is known as static holds. You aren't performing the full rep, you're performing half a rep and holding THAT position as long as you can. This places a huge amount of tension on your muscles, resulting in strength & muscle growth.

This is a very effective bodybuilding technique. If I have helped you, please consider sharing this page, and leaving a comment. It helps a lot.
